Bami Bastani

Bami Bastani
CEO and President
Dr. Bami Bastani was appointed as CEO and President and as a member of the Board of Directors in June 2011. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a CEO and senior executive in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Trident, Dr. Bastani was the Chairman and CEO of B2 Global Consulting, LLC, a management consulting firm. From 1998 to 2008, Dr. Bastani was President and CEO of ANADIGICS, Inc. Under his leadership, the company became a recognized innovator in semiconductor RF solutions for the wireless and broadband communications equipment markets. From 1996 to 1998, Dr. Bastani was Executive Vice President of Fujitsu Microelectronics, where he led the Systems LSI Group, including ASIC System-On-Chip, Local Area Networks, SPARC processors, and RFICs. Previously, he served for more than a decade at National Semiconductor where he held several key executive positions, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of the Embedded Technologies Division. Dr. Bastani serves as a member of the board of directors of SkyCross, Inc. He received a Ph.D. degree and an M.S.E.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University and a B.S.E.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.

Hans Olsen
Uri Kreisman
Senior Vice President of Operations
Mr. Kreisman joined Trident in November 2008 as VP of Operations. Following Trident’s acquisition of the NXP Home business unit in February 2010, he assumed leadership of Trident’s global manufacturing operations and supply chain business. In April 2011, he took on his current role, with worldwide responsibility for operations engineering, customer service, supply chain, and manufacturing purchasing. Prior to Trident, Mr. Kreisman worked in various leadership roles within operations engineering and supply chain management at Zoran Microelectronics from 1996 to 2008, serving most recently as its Senior Director of Operations. From 1994 to 1996, Uri served as a product engineer for Tower Semiconductor. Mr. Kreisman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Business Administration from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.

Pete J. Mangan

Pete J. Mangan
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Mangan joined Trident in January 2008. Previously, he was at Spansion from July 2005 to January 2008 and served in various financial positions including Director of Finance. From December 2004 to May 2005, he served as Vice President of Finance and Administration for Compxs. From December 2002 to December 2004, he was the Director of Finance for Asyst Technologies, Inc. Previous to Asyst, Mr. Mangan held senior financial positions at Advanced Micro Devices, Form Factor, Trident Microsystems, Real Chip Communications and Genesis Microchip. He holds a B.A. degree in Business/Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Saeid Moshkelani

Saeid Moshkelani
Executive Vice President of R&D
Mr. Moshkelani joined Trident in September 2008. Prior to Trident, he served as Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Dust Networks from 2006 to 2008. Mr. Moshkelani also served as Vice President, Engineering and Operations, Consumer Division from 2001-2006 for LSI Logic and Sr. Vice President, Engineering and Operations from 1998 to 2001 for C-Cube Microsystems, which was acquired by LSI Logic. From 1987-1998, Mr. Moshkelani held several engineering positions with VLSI Technology, including Director of Design Technology. Mr. Moshkelani began his career at AMI in Semi-Custom Group from 1984 to 1987. Mr. Moshkelani holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University.

Duane Northcutt

Dr. J. Duane Northcutt
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Northcutt joined Trident in March 2010 in the newly formed position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Prior to joining Trident, Dr. Northcutt was the CTO and VP System Architecture at Silicon Image from 2002 to 2010, where he was responsible for the company’s corporate, product and IP strategies, as well as system architecture. From 1990 to 2001, he served as Distinguished Engineer and Chief Technologist for Sun Microsystems, where he was honored with the President’s Award – once for his technical contributions to multimedia products, and again for the creation of the SunRay product. Earlier in his career, from 1986-1989, Dr. Northcutt was a member of the research faculty at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science, where he led the research project responsible for developing the Alpha real-time operating system and multiprocessor testbed. Dr. Northcutt currently holds over two dozen patents and is the author of a book on the Alpha real-time operating system. He received both an M.S. degree and a Ph.D. degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University.

Mark Samuel

Mark Samuel
Senior Vice President and General Manager of the STB Business Unit
Mark Samuel joined Trident from NXP Semiconductors in February 2010, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with a focus on digital consumer systems. While at NXP, from November 2005-2010, he was senior director of the Telco and Operator Business, general manager of the Business Unit Home and vice president of the Cable and IP STB Business Unit. Prior to that, Mark worked for Philips Semiconductors from 1995-2005 where he held various senior management positions and was a lead member of the global marketing team for Philip’s highly successful One-Chip TV. Earlier in his career, from 1990-1995, Mark held project management positions at Sony Corporation. Mark holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Microelectronic Engineering from Swansea University in the United Kingdom.

Paul Sandberg

Paul Sandberg
Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Mr. Sandberg joined Trident from NXP semiconductors in February 2010. From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Sandberg was Senior Vice President of NXP Semiconductor’s BU Home Sales and Marketing Manager. In this role, he was responsible for the worldwide sales of BU Home for TV, STB and TV FE, and was also responsible for managing the Digital TV Product Line. From 1989 to 2006, Mr. Sandberg held a variety of senior roles, including Senior Vice President of Philips Semiconductor’s BU Home (which was sold to NXP in 2006), Head of Corporate Alliances, acting Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Sagem Communications (SA), which purchased Philip’s BU Fax division, Senior Vice President and Business Unit Manager of Philips Internet Fax Activity and General Manager of Philips PC Peripherals. Mr. Sandberg holds a degree in Business Economics from the University of Tilburg.

David L Teichmann

David L. Teichmann
Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary
Mr. Teichmann joined Trident in April 2007. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of GoRemote Internet Communications, Inc., serving from 1998 until its acquisition by iPass, Inc. in 2006. Previously, he served in various positions at Sybase, Inc., including Vice President, International Law as well as Director of European Legal Affairs based in The Netherlands. Earlier, Mr. Teichmann was Assistant General Counsel for Tandem Computers Corporation, handling legal matters in Asia-Pacific, Japan, Canada and Latin America. He began his legal career as an attorney with the Silicon Valley-based Fenwick & West LLP. Mr. Teichmann holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from Trinity College, an M.A.L.D. degree in Law & Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy and a J.D. degree from the University of Hawaii School of Law. He was also a Rotary Foundation Scholar at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where he did post-graduate work in Latin American Economics and Law.

Dirk Wieberneit

Dirk Wieberneit
Senior Vice President and General Manager of the TV Business Unit
Mr. Wieberneit was appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager of the TV Business unit in June 2010. He joined Trident in May 2009 as Chief Technology Officer and in February 2010 assumed the role of Regional Vice President, EMEA and India. Prior to Trident, Mr. Wieberneit served in a variety of positions with Micronas GmbH starting in October 2000, most recently as Vice President R&D Consumer Division and General Manager from October 2005 to May 2009. From 1991-2000, he held several engineering positions with Infineon Technologies and Siemens AG Semiconductor Group. Mr. Wieberneit holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Electronic Design and Telecommunications from the University of Bochum in Germany.
