Konka Selected Trident's DPTV™3D family To Power Konka's Full Series of Multi-Scan, Dual-Standard PAL/NTSC Pure- Flat Digital CRT Televisions

href="http://quote.yahoo.com/q?s=trid&d=v1">TRID), and a world-wide leader in developing cutting-edge digital TV technology for the consumer digital video marketplace, today announced that the Shenzhen Konka Group, a leading Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer of home appliances, consumer electronics, and cell phones/PDA products, has selected Trident's DPTV™3D video processor family to power its full series of multi-scan, dual-standard, PAL/NTSC pure-flat digital CRT television in China. The Konka TV models powered by DPTV™3D family video processors are P3218T, P3618T, P2902T, P2908T, P2906T, P3409T, P3460T, P29FT188 and P34FT189.

Trident's DPTV™3D integrates an advanced 3-D digital comb video decoder for NTSC, PAL, and SECAM formats. Based on Trident's patented proprietary Unified Memory Architecture (UMA), DPTV™3D digital comb video decoder requires no extra frame buffers for performing 3D comb filtering for decoding NTSC and PAL video signals. DPTV™3D film-mode recovery eliminates the artifacts found in the DVD sources when outputting to progressive display devices. DPTV™3D motion adaptive de-interlacing and edge-smoothing feature provides detailed and vivid video display quality. The DPTV™3D enables multiple output modes including Picture-In-Picture mode, Picture-Out-Picture mode, and 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio modes. DPTV™3D's video decoder has a built-in VBI circuit for closed captioning and V-chip for parental control functions in compliance with FCC regulations. Furthermore, DPTV™3D's graphic-based On-Screen-Display engine provides the most user-friendly and graphic-oriented TV menu required in today's premium TV sets.
