Integrated Advanced HDTV System-on-a-Chip Solution
General Description
The HiDTV™PRO-SA1 is Trident’s 8th generation all-in-one System-on-a-chip or digital TV systems. It includes all key functions needed for both high quality digital and analog TV broadcasting with minimal external components delivering the best cost-performance BOM.
HiDTV™PRO-SA1 has integrated two MIPS32® microprocessors running at 350MHz, a programmable transport stream de-multiplexer and a high-performance 2D graphics engine.
A unified external DDR2 DRAM (32-bit wide) is used for both the system buffer and application programming. In addition, integrated HDMI 1.3a receiver and three high-speed 10-bit ADCs support up to 1080p digital and analog video inputs.
HiDTVTM PRO-SA1 performs high quality and advanced digital audio processing, using a dedicated processor allowing Trident proprietary post processing as well as selected third party post processing (with valid license).
Bundled with Trident’s industry best performing DRX hybrid demodulator, HiDTV™Pro-SA1 receives the DVB-T off-air and DVB-C cable IF signals directly from the tuner as well as analog signals from an off-the-air tuner, cable tuner, or external CVBS, S-video, YPrPb, HDMI and RGB input.
HiDTV™Pro-SA1 targets the mainstream DTV segment, without compromising Trident’s renowned picture quality.
HiDTV™Pro-SA1 uses Trident’s Industry Leading Enhanced Super Resolution technology which includes the 8th generation DCRe™ algorithms, resulting in smooth, vivid and brilliant HD quality video image regardless of the different input resolution.
Trident offers the best cost-performance DTV system by providing both a competitive system BOM and a completely proven worldwide DTV SDK platform enabling faster time to market. In addition, HiDTV™ Pro-SA1’s SDK has features specifically designed for enabling value add features such as connected TV capabilities with Ethernet connectivity.
