TRIDENT AND VIEWSONIC PARTNER TO MOVE DISPLAYS FROM TRADITIONAL TO EXCEPTIONAL Video Tuner Box Transforms Desktop Displays into Digital Entertainment Displays Sunnyvale, Calif. (NASDAQ: TRID), a worldwide leader in Digital TV technology, today announced that its DPTV™MV video processor chip has been selected for use in ViewSonic® Corporation's NextVision™ 5 video tuner boxes. Powered by the DPTV™MV video processor, NextVision™ 5 enables consumers to use their existing displays for digital entertainment, including Enhanced Digital TV (EDTV). Trident's DPTV™MV converts today's analog TV signals into an advanced progressive TV image up to 1024×768 resolution. “ViewSonic has recently achieved a milestone in digital TV.
